Many Sundays during the year the parish offers Children’s liturgy of the Word at the 10:45 am Mass. After the opening prayer children from ages K-6 will be invited forward and then, after a prayer are escorted to an adjacent room to hear the sacred Scripture Readings proclaimed and explained at an age-appropriate level.
These sessions are not faith formation classes, arts-and-crafts activities, or babysitting during Mass. Rather, the children hear the same Mass readings as adults – but in simpler terms that are easier to grasp, by trained and approved volunteers.
